A remarkable 13-year-old girl who was among the first to the scene of a serious road accident today (Sunday) may have saved a life.
Emily Killick Edwards, a police cadet, was first to the scene of the crash on Kingston Hill, SW London this afternoon.
Having recently completed a first responder course, she called the ambulance service and prevented passers-by from trying to remove the driver, an elderly lady, who was later cut out of the vehicle with a suspected broken neck.
Eyewitnesses reported a man fleeing from the scene after driving erratically.
Police are currently investigating the incident.
The police say two people are now in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
